About Rheonix

Rheonix, Inc. was established in 2008 in Ithaca, NY. The company was founded to address unmet needs preventing the widespread adoption of high-quality, sensitive, and specific molecular testing. The founding vision was to apply expertise in engineering and material science to create a highly functional, low-cost device in a simple, easy to use format. A goal that led to the development of the Rheonix CARD® cartridge and Encompass workstation. 

Building on this vision, a team of passionate experts in engineering, biology, software, manufacturing, and commercial disciplines was assembled. This team brought the original concept to life, and today, the Encompass workstation and Rheonix CARD cartridge address many of the barriers that previously limited the everyday use of molecular analytical tools.

Rheonix remains committed to improving standards of care by making molecular diagnostics more accessible in more locations and more frequently. With its suite of products, Rheonix is well-positioned to penetrate key molecular testing markets, ranging from diagnostic laboratories to food and beverage applications and next-generation sequencing sample preparation.
